Summer 2017
Life goes by too fast. It seems like the days fly between work, camps- just the daily things that every family does. I was thinking about my precious boys, Brooks & Tate. I have not done them justice as far as memories go. Look at this blog. It has been 3 years since the last post. Unreal. 3 years! You blink your eye and the moments are gone. I am sure everyone feels this way sometimes. I am going to do a better job writing down our memories for the boys. I want them to remember all of the fun times growing up. I want them to be able for them to one day read how much they mean to me.
It is Summer 2017. Brooks is 6 1/2 and Tate is 4 1/2. They are amazing boys. Hopefully, by posting pictures and memories over the past 3 years, we can catch up.

Brave Baby Tate
At about 2 weeks old, little baby Tate got a very bad form of staff infection. He spent 6 nights at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital. We were both there for him, but his daddy was the one to bring him initially because I was out of town in Fort Lauderdale when we found out he was sick. Jon brought him to the hospital, met with the doctors and was with him during the most critical hours - spinal taps and invasive testing. Jon was strong for all of us. Tate was brave and strong too. Little Tate had IVs. They had to change the port every 24 hours because his veins were not strong enough to withstand more at one time. We were so thankful for the wonderful doctors and family support. Mom came to keep Brooks for a few days and then Grand mommy & Granddaddy came to help too. During our time at the hospital, I came to realize how lucky we were. There were so many sick children and babies there. I can only hope that their prayers were answered like ours were. You feel so helpless when your little child is sick. I know Jon and I would have given our lives to help Tate. Keep all of the children in your prayers and know that we are lucky and blessed.
Little Tate "Tate Tot"
How do you even begin to catch up after not writing for a year? Not sure.... The last time I left off we had found out that another little boy would be entering our life. Robert Tate Bateman "Tate" was born on October 24th 2012 at 10:00 am. He was about a week early. On the 23rd, Jon and I were sitting on the couch when my water broke. We went to the hospital that evening and it wasn't long after that we got to meet little Tate for the first time. Tate has been a such a blessing. He made our family complete. The pictures above are at the hospital and his first car ride home. Brooks has been a wonderful brother over the past year. Tate is a pistol now, keeping up with Brooks made his walk at 10 months and run by 12 :) We are blessed to have you in our lives little Tate "Tate Tot" We love you

Brooks and New Baby News!!
Little Lucy
On May the 16th 2012 our sweet little Lucy passed away after having lung cancer for almost a year. She was such a good dog. We will miss her more than she knows. Everytime I see a lizard in the back yard, a frisbee, or look at Rosco, I think of her and her passion for life! I love you Miss Luce.
